Parents definitely need hybrid options. In previous years I used all of my sick days to take my kids to their appointments, which left me hardly any sick days for myself. When we went virtual, no one got sick anymore so I still have all my sick days!!
Agreed - a relatively easy win is to give people the flexibility to adjust their hours as needed for things like doctor appointments! There's still the problem of who takes advantage of that flexibility, though. If women end up using their flexibility to manage kids' needs more than men do, they might be penalized for it...(To be clear, this isn't a reason not to offer flexibility, just an important consideration!)
